Fly, be free Angelica!!

 Hi Gawjus stitchy friends!! 

I finally found my way back AND which button to click to post a new blog post.

Ha!

So, everyone who has signed up to do the Angelica BOM or bought the pattern pack should be happily stitching away. She's out there, and I'm so humbled!

We have a Facebook group too, for day by day chats, help, updates and sharing progress pics. It's terrific to see the different colourways- wow! Just go into Facebook and search for Angelica Quilt, click to get in. 

The next thing to tackle is to learn how to convert my patterns to PDFs. Soon I will have a Shopify store linked to this blog, and will be able to upload ALL of my patterns - embroidered, pieced and applique. Of course those in Oz will be able to buy a real pattern, but for those cleverer than me folk, they can get a PDF thingame. Once up and running I will do lots of specials and giveaways too. Maybe even blog exclusive stitch alongs.

At the moment I'm hurrying to finish a stack of redwork embroideries, to assemble into at least a quilt top so a dear friend can take pics of it back to the US with her in December to show around shops. I have a lot of interest from overseas!!

What would I do without her????

 Okay, so it's sort of been....A YEAR....since my last update. That's pretty bad, even for ME!!

My dear dear friend Dawn Hay just gave me a kick in my bot bot for being so slack, especially since she wants to direct people here. Cough. Sorry. Cough.

So...where were we? Guess it doesn't matter after a whole year! I hope you and yours have all been well, happy and enjoying lots of stitchy goodness!

I have been BUSY! Not only have I been designing up a storm, I've actually been making  them too! I have books upon books of my designs and drawing just  waiting to be made so I ready should just concentrate on those. But I can't help myself, more keep appearing! 

I can't wait to show you what I've been making....as soon as I remember how to add pics here! Lol.

It just not natural!!!

 Okay, so anyone who's met me knows I'm a bit....well....outgoing, and well....chatty!!

So it's no surprise that I struggle to keep a secrets. Not friends secrets, I'm super good at that, just mine!!

As such there really isn't a lot I can say here (for now). 

And because most of what I've been doing is to do with the secrets, I can't even really tell you about what I've been doing. 

Sigh.

Busy busy BUSY!!!

 Ok, so I'd like to say I've been sewing heaps, but no.

I've been reading and watching YouTube, trying to get my head around the whole Vector Graphics thingame. 

Sitting next to my desk is a new laptop, and a new Wacom drawing tablet. They're still in their boxes, seals unopened. 

I'm sure I could maybe learn more by unpacking them, even playing with them, but I need to feel worthy. 

Maybe I'm just chicken.

Somehow I need to find that subconscious kicker, that will seduce me into NEEDING  to draw on this tablet, and manipulate that drawing with this laptop.

Just another lazy Mon-day!

 Well hi there! 

I have been super busy since Friday, moving and rearranging 'stuff'. 

I like to re-work my creative spaces occasionally, it's like dusting cobwebs from my brain! This time there's good reason - I have a terrible habit of getting stuff out but not putting it away again. Even though I'm an expert at keeping stuff in neat piles, the piles multiple until I can't find things, trip over them, or my brain begins to silently screech with anxiety....ugh!!

Don't feel sorry for me though, I don't deserve it. I often take my blessings for granted - a lovely home nestled in trees,  atop of a mountain, with views forever, a 3 room studio all to myself, and 24hrs a day to sew. Yet, I rarely sit out on the verandah anymore, and instead find myself stitching/designing in front of the telly. Sigh.

So, I'm determined that once I have put stuff away and re-arrange a fussy little bit, I'm going to stitch/design outside every day if possible! 

For now, back to shuffling!
